When to come, and what you get
Malta packs a whole party calendar into a 27 km island. This is how the year usually runs, so you can pick your dates and let us fill them.
The season opens
The first pool parties as the weather turns, the beach clubs reopen and the boat parties start leaving Sliema. Quieter, cheaper, and 1 May is a public holiday: locals go out the night before.
Full swing
Two public holidays, 7 June (Sette Giugno) and 29 June (L-Imnarja), and every venue running its weekly nights. Malta's big free open-air concert has traditionally landed in Floriana around the end of the month.
Peak, every night
Pool parties by day, boat parties at sunset, Paceville until 4am. The rooftops and the white parties are at their best. Book beds early: this is when the island fills.
Ferragosto week
15 August is Santa Marija, a public holiday here and Ferragosto in Italy. The busiest and most expensive week of the summer: boat parties sell out early and every club runs a special. Want space? Come the week after.
Warm sea, closing parties
8 September (Victory Day) and 21 September (Independence Day) are public holidays. The sea is at its warmest, the crowds thin out and the venues run their season closings.
Halloween and New Year's Eve
Halloween 2027 falls on a Sunday, so the whole weekend counts. New Year's Eve is the other big night, with rooftop parties over St Julian's. Both get announced a few months ahead: the list hears first.

Malta 2027: the party season, explained
Malta packs one of Europe's densest party calendars into a 27 km island. From late spring to the end of September the clubs of Paceville, the beach clubs of St Julian's and Qawra, the rooftops over Portomaso, the pool parties and the boat parties out of Sliema run almost every day of the week, and the biggest international festivals land here in summer. Party Island Malta lists the events, links you to the official tickets and tells you first when the 2027 dates are confirmed.
How the 2027 list works
- Put in your name, your email and the dates you'll be on the island.
- You get a confirmation straight away, with whatever is already on sale for those dates.
- Every time a venue confirms a 2027 party inside your dates, you get one email with the official ticket link. Nothing outside your trip, no weekly newsletter.
What a week in Malta looks like
By day, a pool party at Gianpula or Café del Mar, or a boat party around the island with a swim stop. At sunset, the beach clubs of St George's Bay and Qawra. At night, Paceville: Toy Room Club by Pacha, Sky Club, Aria Complex and, on Level 22 of Portomaso Tower, TwentyTwo. The rooftop pool at Infinity by Hugo's hosts the White Party and the New Year's Eve nights. Between parties, the day activities: Comino and the Blue Lagoon, jet skis, Gozo.

Picking your 2027 dates
The season runs from late April to the end of September, with July and August at the peak. Malta's public holidays are fixed year to year and are useful markers, because locals go out the night before and the clubs put their bigger nights around them: 1 May, 7 June (Sette Giugno), 29 June (L-Imnarja), 15 August (Santa Marija, Ferragosto week, the busiest and most expensive of the summer), 8 September (Victory Day) and 21 September (Independence Day). Halloween 2027 falls on a Sunday, so the whole weekend counts, and New Year's Eve closes the year on the rooftops over St Julian's.
