The building

The Portomaso Business Tower stands over the Portomaso marina, next to the Hilton, and for two decades it was the tallest building in Malta. TwentyTwo has taken up its 22nd floor since 2006.

How to do TwentyTwo

TwentyTwo in one minute: a club on the 22nd floor of the Portomaso Business Tower in St Julian's, glass walls all around and the whole bay lit up below. It has been running since 2006 and has parties all year round, from Sunday French nights to all-white parties.

This is our planner for it: which night to choose, what the door expects and the easiest way up.

Choose your night

  • French Night: the Sunday party in summer.
  • White Party: dress code all white, from head to toe.
  • Glam Night: Thursday nights in summer, elegant style.
  • Ladies Night and Starlight: Friday and Saturday nights.

At the door

  • Doors usually open at 23:00 and the party runs until about 04:00, so there's no point arriving early.
  • It's 17+ with ID checks: bring your passport or ID card.
  • Dress smart. On themed nights, follow the theme: that's half the fun.
  • The best nights sell out, so buy online as soon as tickets are out.

Getting up there

The tower stands on the Portomaso marina next to the Hilton Malta, a few minutes' walk from Paceville. Bolt, Uber and eCabs drop off at the entrance, the Ross bus stop is right next to the Hilton, and there's an underground car park in Portomaso. Inside, the lift takes you straight to the 22nd floor.

  • Bolt, Uber or eCabs to the Portomaso tower, next to the Hilton.
  • Buses: the Ross stop is right next to the Hilton.
  • On foot, a few minutes from Paceville. Inside, the lift goes straight to floor 22.
